Heather and I are splitting up
This is a personal announcement, so if you’re just here for the gaming stuff, feel free to move on…
Heather and I have been having problems for a year now, and after some counseling and reflection, we decided that we’re going to split up.
We both want to stay close friends, so we’re making sure this won’t be a nasty, vengeful divorce. But this, plus a couple of other events in my personal and work life, have been and are going to keep me a little occupied. I’m still here and participating on the boards, but I won’t be as visible over the next few months as I used to be.
We’re not angry or fighting or throwing lamps at each other or anything like that. We just hit a point where we’re pretty much roommates who are getting in each others’ way, instead of husband and wife.
I pride myself on keeping my life drama-free, so hopefully we’re going to get through this turbulence and be able to move on soon.

Sorry for a belated comment, and sorry to hear it.
At the risk of sticking my nose in, have you tried counseling and so on? A lack of passion after the honeymoon is not an indication that, with a lot of work, you can’t still have a great marriage. Maybe expectations are too high?
Ugh, I don’t know all the details, of course. Whatever you decide, best of luck. I recommend some books by Hugh and Gail Pranther, if you have the time.
Thanks Yehuda. Yes, we’ve tried counseling, but it looks like it’s not meant to be.
